Where the dates come from
Nothing here is typed in by hand and left to rot. Release dates are rebuilt from the publishers' own listings — MANGA Plus and Viz for the manga, Fuji TV and Crunchyroll for the anime, Bandai's product pages for the card game. A date nobody has announced is labelled as projected rather than quietly presented as fact, and when a source stops answering, the page says so instead of showing a stale number with a straight face.
The about page lists every source and how often it is checked. If you spot something wrong, the contact page goes straight to a person.
Why One Piece goes on break
There are two different reasons a week passes with no chapter, and they get confused constantly. An author break is Eiichiro Oda taking a scheduled week off, which has been his working rhythm for years and is not a sign of anything wrong. A magazine break is Weekly Shonen Jump publishing a combined double issue around a Japanese public holiday — and when it does, every series in the magazine skips that week, not just One Piece.
The break status page tells you which of the two the next issue is, and counts down to the chapter that ends it.
